My Holidays (Sheryl 13)

Hey guys! I had a great time during the holidays. It was one of the best as far as I can remember :) i spent most of my December holidays overseas in the Western countries! 11 days in Italy and 17 in England ;) No matter how tiring or how much I missed my bolster at home, I will never forget how much I learned during this meaningful trip and the amount of money my parents spent on this. The weather in Italy and England was constant throughout :) The lowest temperature was -1 degrees and the coldest being 11 degrees. We chose the option of "Free And Easy" which allowed us to walk about and sightsee however we wanted to. We learnt to speak a few phrases in Italian, toured around in their local trams, shopped at their wet markets and toured around the country in railway trains. Italy was very much different from what I had expected :). There were many things they had which were not found in Singapore! Here are some of the pictures I took when I was traveling in Italy!

Another forte of Italy is their local food specialty. Some of these include pastas, pizzas and their famous "Gelato". Their spaghetti is really creamy and their pizzas are very soft and cheesy. Although these foods are very high in cholestrol, I can't help but try them all :D Especially their Gelato, Gelato is just like ice cream. However, it is much softer and it is not proccessed but man made. It melts easily and the taste is just so extraordinary that you can't help but ask for second servings :D

Heading on to UK, it is a really busy city and its really crowded everywhere. This city is full of fashionable people everywhere and most of the people living there are foreigners. Their lifestyle is pretty much similar to that of Singapore's. I rode on their trains and went to visit their local landmarks. I visited the "London Eye" which gave me a bird's eye view of the whole of London. It was a beautiful city and I loved it very much. I also went to "The London Dungeon", it was a theme park which was based on a dungeon. It was fun and exciting, it was made for people of all ages. I recommend this attraction, it is really worth playing :) I rode on their local train called "Underground". It was extremely squeezy and packed like sardines during peak hours. There was hardly even space to breath! One of those days while I was in London, I spotted a rat on the platform! My mother was so shocked she literally ran away to the other side! I was laughing so hard although i knew I shouldn't have.

I had an enjoyable time this holiday :) It was really fun and amazing to be able to see all these with my own eyes. It was a really great memory and I wish I could go there once again :)
