Reflection ~Lixian~

CID Reflection
Throughout these few weeks' lessons, I have learnt about the importance looking beyond just what is on the surface. The things that are appearing on the surface may not be its true color. For instance, the beggar activity proves that I should not judge a book by its own cover. The female beggar was actually being used to gain pity in order to make money for her mastermind. Even an innocent young child will be used as a tool to beg for money. However, the male beggar was actually crippled. He was sitting behind a cardboard and hence we cannot see if he is crippled. What is more is that, he did not write about his body state on the board. He only mentioned about needing some fund to buy another pushcart to earn a living for himself again. He did not try to gain for pity from the public, he merely wanted a little help from them. Hence, I have learnt that we should always think and probe deeper to gain the full story before judging. Even then, we should not judge them too harshly as there is always a cause for their acts.
I have also learnt the basic to capturing moments and photos. I captured several school spirit photos during RV 58th anniversary. Everybody has a huge smile on their face and they seemed to enjoy the performance. I look forward to capturing more precious photos.
